Blood Collection: A small quantity of your blood is gathered into ezPRF tubes.
Spinning Process: Next, the ezPRF tubes are spun in a device. The force from spinning drives the denser red blood cells to settle at the tube’s base.
Concentrate Retrieval: After spinning, we collect the upper layer of the tube’s contents. This portion is rich with your own Platelets and White Blood Cells, creating the Ultimate Blood Concentrate.
Concentrate Use: The PRF concentrate can be injected and/or microneedled into the skin by our expert nurse injectors. Common areas for microneedling are the face, neck, and chest and common areas for injections are the undereyes and scalp/hairline. Depending on what option you choose with your provider, some topical numbing may be required for comfort.
Recovery
PRF requires minimal downtime. We ask that patients plan for a day of social downtime post procedure. Most patient’s look mildly sunburnt day 2 after procedure with some undereye swelling. It is okay to wear tinted sunscreen at this point and resume daily activities. You should not wear makeup for 12 hours post treatment and it’s important to protect your skin from the sun to prevent new collagen breakdown.
